The Boat

This boat was built by my grandfather and father in 1958 from a kit sold by Taft marine. The boat was named the MarBeLyne after my 2 aunts, Maryanne and Lynne and my grandmother Mary "Bee" Martin. It was used by the family to cross the initial lake (Tilden Lake) in Ontario CA to get to our cabin on Bear Lake. It was also used to water-ski in Conneaut Lake for many years. In 1983 my grandfather bought a new larger more powerful boat, and this one was retired to the barn. There it lay until August 22 2004 when it was brought out, cleaned and drug to my fathers house in Bethel Park. There we prepared it to make a journey to Portland OR.
