The TA

This is a 1979 Trans Am, puchased a few years ago for a measly $895.00, from a hole in the wall dealer in Hillsboro Oregon. It took me a year and a half to get the title as it was sold to me as a "parts car". It had no cat coverters so they couldn't legally sell it to me otherwise. Since then it has lived in my garage slowly taking shape as I restore it bit by bit. It came stock with a 403 cid Olds V8, TH350 automatic trasmission, 2.41 posi rear end, and power everything. Looking to put in a 455 pushing 500+Hp, rebuild the Tranny to handle it, and beef up the suspension. So far I have replaced: Steering column, tires, rims, shocks, plugs, wires, t-tops and rear sway bar. There is plenty more to go.. Update 9-26-04: With help of dad and a tranny shop, the TA has moved under its own power for the first time in like 4 years. I am still looking for a 455 to put into it to replace the weak 403.
